The vistas out West are so much different than what I am used to. My mind is wired in the New England landscape.To me the vastness of the landscape, the long range views, the quality of the light, and the subtle earth colors are all irresitible. This scene is my first attempt with pastels and was inspired by one of the thousands of photographs I have taken in this amazing area of our country.
