As you can see there are two similar paintings on my website for this Highland Cow. The first painting was great fun and inspired by a crazy situation that happened while I was photographing this handsome heard at a local farm. While driving by the farm I spotted the heard and couldn’t resist capturing them on film. Quickly I pulled over to the side of the road and ran into the field and started snapping away. I was so excited that these amazing creatures were cooperatively posing for me that I failed to notice my car was quickly rolling away down the street. I sprinted as fast as I could to catch up with the car. Yikes! Who knows where it would end up?
The second Highland Cow was a special request by a client who is Scottish and is very fond of these adorable cows. He has decided to call him “Archie.” I think that it is a perfect name and Archie now has a new home with Jim.
